Keluarga means family
so the sister has finally arrived in blustery melbourne. i’ve done my sisterly duties in kitting her up with staple, must-have boots + trench coat, giving her street name quizzes, taking her to church and allowing her to join forces with dave to gang up against me.
i have yet to show her how to dexterously handle a washing machine, intricately maneuver a toilet brush and iron a shirt (apparently, she’s quite content living a crumpled, rumpled life, i’m paraphrasing here).
the mothership and fathership have also landed, so it’s been a regular lim affair. it’s lovely having family only a suburb away and seeing as it will probably be a while before i see them again, i’m going to squeeze as much time in as i can. pictures of the fly and lauren in her knee-high brown boots soon!
on a totally unrelated note. i am now a complete blackberry convert. in benny kong’s apt words – “besides making a choice to be a christian, buying a bb ranks as another great decision!”
