Philip’s merdeka of “stupid things”

nursing a cincau, limau panas and some chocolate french toast thing with liem! in subang, waiting for people to turn up to do “stupid things”; heading to ANOTHER mamak place to have MORE food; finally deciding on a whim to battle the traffic to sunway to catch the fireworks; getting there right on the minute and parking in the middle of the road to see a rather sorry display of pyrotechnics; shouting MERDEKA with gusto anyway; making mentos&coke explosions in a park; supper-ing it up with 50 sen ice cream cones at maccas; cracking butt jokes and laughing way too much.

what a night.

it should be merdeka everyday.

It’s been a while since I had post camp blues

i’d like to think that the two mamak stalls in port dickson struck it big time when forty over young working adults flocked to their premises for some late night supper.

we may be at camp, but we’ll always find means and ways to fit mamak into our schedule.

:)

three cheers for ACTS Life Rewire camp! woot! pictures up if and when i get them.

momentary collisions.

we were once, all giants

who had to fall a little to rise again.

breathe in clarity, decipher comprehension

so even when colours fade to grey,

we live at large.

Waiting on a december day

there are little moments, in between mornings, when i think you’re right across the street again

 my-music-man1.jpg

and popping into favourite music stores

  babes1.jpg

or walking down the block to grab caramel macchiatos and skinny mocha frappes

pretend-to-look-natural.jpg

or making impromptu, big-city train trips

are all tangible definites.

then i wake up and remember you’re half a world away.

boo.

you couldn’t actually tell we were in singapore. there were too many pictures of us and too few of the actual island.

highlights were:

#1 getting perfect camera compositions which required me to stand in the middle of busy streets, be the only idiot going AGAINST the human traffic flow, tweak my toes into odd positions, hold hands with a cartoon on a window.

#2 traipsing all over singapore, stopping at every toyshop imaginable to look for transformer action figures.

#3 finding out i’m pretty darn good at directing anderson to the esplanade.

#4 winning the scrabble game by a mile :)

#5 hmv sales. ’nuff said.
