on a totally unrelated note.
the lindt chocolate packaging no longer comes with that perforated strip across the box.
i liked that.

my cactus is having a baby.
i keep turning the the pot aroundandaround so he'll (he? she? do baby shoots have a gender?) have to keep moving and searching for the sun.
hardeeharhar…
so much for maternal instincts.
:)
long awaited chinese food, undecisive stand abouts outside a shopwithaBIGdog, china shopping plans with a personal tour guide, squishy seating at the bald man, miraculous three table findings and grabbing of chairs, chocolate, more chocolate, "it smells like a cow" funnies, souffle sou-fel, stoning working people (haha! sama sama!), a superhypersugarinduced mad woman, sweet rides home in thepeugeotwithredseats through the drizzlydrizzly rain.
nice.
thank you for being the perfect gentleman.
and you for making me laugh my guts out tonight.

something for the weekend
secret smiles
and everything in between.
ocean breathes salty
so says modest mouse.
happy smells
like the way it used to be.
i'd like to think of it
as a lot like perfection.
happy twenty second to you whose witsandlife we managed to successfully scare.
:)
got ya.
i love that even after fifteen years, we're still in and out of each others lives and learning more and more each day.
and i love bobby *wink*.
catching looks
while catching licks.
afar, across, aside,
it's just one of those things.
you know i know
but we remain a little silent.
and i like
that we are strangers in common.
and i like
that a phone call can make a day (or a night).
and i like
that i like the life snippets
i know of you.
happy graduation to my fab friend and super cool chick, miss eileen!
three cheers!
we were originally meant to graduate together in august, but little miss here wanted to do summer. and as if that wasn't enough, she then decided to ditch me for some masters degree back home.
hmmph.
masters indeed.
:)
i jest.
i'm thrilled for you. and while i will miss your kookiness/sarcasm/whattheheck! tag line/corn bread/same taste shopping sprees/eating binges (open pantry, close pantry, open pantry, close pantry), i'm so glad you've gotten this opportunity to further your studies.
here's to friendship and to all the memories we've had here in melbourne! go on home and kick some butt.
oh and invite me to your wedding.
tap my shoulder and watch me smile.

life group with the pey-li/shu shiung gang is just fab. between shiung’s inyourface zany-ness and pey-li’s toofunkyforwords attitude, we’ve got it made. tonight, shiung insisted on singing under the stars so we traipsed half a block to his special spot (”pretty right? got lake all”). had an awesome p&w session under the drizzlydrizzly rain. unfortunately, poor rohan had to contend with smudged-ink guitar chords and wet strings. hrr…
it feels great to be back in a cell group and have that sense of belonging. i’m uber excited to see what’s in store for the bunch of us. we’re such a motley crew but blend so well together.
think we need to come up with a new menu for supper though. grapes every week just doesn’t quite cut it.
:)
too much over the weekend to type so you'll just have to take my word when i say that our mount sterling trip was a.w.e.s.o.m.e.
to the cracked wind screen gang - the pentan, possum, lu fee spaghetti and ted the Man - kevin, dave the kena-sabo-berkali-kali one, hui yi and rove: travelling with the bunch of you is too fun. ski trip come august yeh? :) here's to more speed bump rides, long stop over lamb shank lunches, one tree hill poses, hops over 'landmines', slippery sliding on stairs, YUM food, superfrantic uno and poke-in-the-ribs laughter.
a few pics up on flickr
to tell me that there are now three brand spanking new audis within the family.
i'm like whooooa!
one of them is the coveted audi tt
i am, quite literally, one giant step closer to my dream car.
me thinks my grandad is trying to lure me home.
plus this very obvious hint:
"ya lah, if you come back, then i let you drive."
"…"
hrr…
only a bunch of asians would drive to tgif in the middle of the night to satisfy their week-long steak cravings.
:)

hurray to the one who got me yummy 70% lindt chocolate wrapped in paper decorated with grumpy/nervous easter eggs drawings.
you crack me up.
(pun intended)
quote un quote:
"happy easter, have a bloody good thursday, then a good friday!"
cheers mate.
meet ups/catch ups with new/old friends, zipping about in the uber cool lexus IS250(woohoo!), silky shimmery hangings with supertalljack, awesome (ig)nites, flower power purchases, kayu-but-no-tandoori chicken lunch dates, andrew-inspired black peugeots with red leather seats, bushwalking easter weekends, fly away lavender plants, mr la vender and mrs juniper bonsai, one heck of a vacuum cleaner/cleaning.
iloveitiloveitiloveit.
will be off on the aforementioned bushwalk over the easter hols. they said it was a camping trip, and i thought "oooh, itty bitty tents and dug out earth pits for loos! hurrah!". so you can imagine my disappointment when i was told we were going to stay here instead.
*grin*
riiiiight.
latrinalia is an actual term to describe writing on public lavatory walls. fourteen thousand a year for me to learn stuff like this. three cheers for cultural studies. (i'm part of the elite weird few who actually love cs. c'mon, which other discipline encourages new words like phantasmagoria?)
by the way, i just found out i have flat feet, hence the mightily painful shin splints. funny, i always thought i had quite nicely defined feet arches.
pfft.
